There is a "Last Contacted On" field that is standard in Dynamics for Contacts and Accounts. In CRM 2015, we had a field called "Last Contacted By" which was extremely helpful that was scripted in by KORE. This field seems like it should have been a part of the standard Dynamics fields....especially because we have a Created By and a Modified By.
