For Salesforce clients, the Description field in the Deal Sheet Wizard has a character limit of 255 characters. This is because the corresponding Salesforce field is only a 'Text' field. It would be great if we can have the limit of this KORE field increased while confirming it doesn't break the PSS Application code back to Salesforce.
For clients using our Approval Workflow emails, any deal sheet with a Description that is longer than 255 characters will not be sent to all of the appropriate user groups thus causing the deal to get stuck in the workflow process. Many clients rely on this field heavily to provide context to what the deal is about and how it developed. The Blue Jays are one of these such clients. Ticket 14888 is a great example. In this particular deal the Description field information entered was as follows:
'Investment flat vs. 2018 Only asset change from 2018 is $10K increased hospitality bank Partnership was in serious risk of not renewing after 2018 season Media value of baseline signage has decreasing for 2 consecutive years TBJ able to maintain partnership for 2019 in a low interest category'
The only solution to get the approval workflow emails to be sent to the appropriate groups was to shorten the description to: 'Investment flat vs. 2018 Only asset change from 2018 is $10K increased hospitality bank'
However, doing this leaves out important information that the Blue Jays need included on the deal record. This has been done before in the past for the Activity Description field.
