Currently, auto-allocation does not occur on future Deal Seasons in a Deal Sheet, even if the inventory item is set to auto-allocate.  As a part of the expansion of the rollover process and 'bulk tasks' for future years, I'd expect that you can auto-allocate events for inventory items that have this setting selected
