Manage Restrictions for Touchpoint to Goal Calculation

Ability to manage restrictions on which touchpoint activities end up counting as points toward the touchpoint goal, based on user or user department.

Currently if I have two goals on file and any user logs a touchpoint activity within the start/end date of the goal; it counts toward both goal totals. This is causing a problem for us, as we have multiple divisions and a customer may have multiple goals with different owners.

For scalability purposes I'd propose three methods of restrictions on a Touchpoint Goal to calculate which touchpoint activities count toward the goal:

  • Not Limited: Touchpoint goal has points tracked when any user logs a touchpoint activity within the Start/End Date.

  • Owner Limited: Touchpoint Goal only has points tracked when Touchpoint Activity Owner = Goal Owner within the Start/End Date.

  • Department Limited: Touchpoint Goal only has points tracked when Touchpoint Activity Owner Department = Goal Owner Department within the Start/End Date.
